The week of Mar. 9 hosted the exciting instrument socials! Students filed in during lunch and mingled with others who played their instrument from different orchestras. They chatted, met new friends, and ate the delicious snacks provided by Orchestra Council, including shrimp chips, barbecue chips, soda, and candy.

The main event soon began–Bingo! Students each received a bingo card with different categories on it, such as “someone who has perfect pitch” and “someone who has broken something on their instrument”. People scrambled to be the first to get five in a row, who were given a mystery prize: a big handful of candy. They laughed and got to know each other as they went around the room.
These instrument socials were a great way to bond with students from other orchestras. Make sure to attend all our events in the future for an afternoon of fun!
